Custom does not have to mean grand or complicated. Sometimes it is one small change that makes a piece feel completely yours. Sometimes it is an entire love story translated into gemstones.
Both count.
Lawless jewellery is made to be worn your way, so if something is almost right but not quite ask me.

Every request is considered individually. If something will not work structurally, suit the materials or survive real life, I will tell you and suggest an alternative that will.

You do not need to have all the answers. A half-formed idea, a collection of references or even a particular feeling is enough to begin the conversation.
Together, we begin shaping the piece.
We will look at the gemstones, symbols, colours, proportions and length that best suit your idea. This may involve adapting an existing Lawless design or developing a new combination especially for you.
Most custom pieces are created using the materials found throughout the Lawless collections: durable 316L stainless steel, gold-coloured finishes and natural gemstones.
Natural gemstones are never completely uniform. Their markings, textures and colours were formed over millennia, which means the stone chosen for your piece will have its own character. Frankly, nature has never shown much interest in mass production.
Once the elements have been chosen, I bring them together into a complete design.
I will talk you through the proposed piece and confirm the important details including the materials, measurements, price and expected completion time before making begins.
This is the point where we can make any final adjustments. Nothing moves forward until we are both clear about what is being created.
Your custom piece is then made by hand in my studio in the Kerry International Dark Sky Reserve.
This is where the idea becomes something tangible: the right gemstone, the right balance, the right chain length and the small details that make the finished piece feel as though it could only ever have belonged to you.
Your jewellery is made to be worn, not kept for best. The materials and construction are chosen with real life in mind.
Once your piece is finished, it will be prepared for collection or delivery.
The result is a Lawless piece designed around your story and belonging only to you.

Every custom piece is quoted individually because the price depends on the materials, gemstones, design and amount of work involved.
Sharing your budget at the beginning is genuinely helpful. It allows me to design within it and suggest the best options available, rather than leading us both towards an exquisite idea with financially alarming consequences.
You will receive the price before the piece is made, so you can decide whether you would like to proceed.
The timescale depends on the complexity of the design and whether particular gemstones or components need to be sourced.
If the piece is for a birthday, anniversary or another immovable date, please mention this in your first message. I will let you know whether the required timescale is possible before we begin.
The earlier you enquire, the more freedom we have with the design.
Not at all. Many custom pieces begin with a meaning, a gemstone or a general idea rather than a finished design. I will help you work through the possibilities.
In many cases, yes. Chain lengths, gemstones, charms, colourways and combinations may be adjustable, depending on the construction of the original design.
Yes. Reference images can help me understand the shapes, colours and overall feeling you are drawn to. They are used as inspiration and guidance; I will not copy another designer’s work.
Absolutely. Tell me about the person, the occasion and anything you would like the jewellery to represent. If the design is a surprise, we can work around the information you have.
Custom pieces can be discussed in person at LI•LY in Killarney or arranged online. Photographs and messages allow us to develop the design together wherever you are.
